Sheriff Seizes Synthetic Pot from Grayslake Gas Station
The Marathon gas station at Routes 120 and 83 in Grayslake was found in possession of an illegal substance that mimics the effects of marijuana.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit received an anonymous tip that the Grayslake Marathon Stop & Shop gas station located at 735 E. Belvidere Road in Grayslake was selling synthetic cannabis.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the business on Friday, Nov. 16, and seized 913 grams of synthetic cannabis and $1,624 in cash.
The Grayslake Police Department assisted in that search.
