Slam Funk To Perform At Grayslake Heritage Center

Local band to perform a free concert in the courtyard on May 25.

Slam Funk, an extra-curricular performing group comprised ofΒ students from Grayslake North and Grayslake Central High Schools, will perform aΒ special free concert at the , 164 Hawley Street. The public is invited to the show at 7 p.m. Friday, May 25.Β 

They specialize in learning andΒ performing music from the height of Motown Records. They cover hit songs from The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson andΒ others.Β 

Slam Funk willΒ perform in the museum’s courtyard, with a rain location in the museum’sΒ community room. The museum’s exhibitions will be open before and after the concert. Β
