UPDATED: Local Veterans Invited To GCHS Veteran's Day Celebration
Grayslake Central High School students and faculty plan to honor veterans with a special Veteran's Day event this Friday, Nov. 11.
To honor the contributions of local veterans, the Public Service Practicum (PSP) classes at Grayslake Central High School are hosting the school's Veteran's Day celebration on Nov. 11, 2011.
PSP teacher Dustin Chierico said the special event also makes the high school students more aware of the contributions of the veterans.
All veterans are invited to attend any or all parts of the celebration at . All events are free of charge for veterans as way of saying thank you for their contributions, Chierico said.

The Veteran's Day Celebration includes:
- 8 - 9:30 a.m. - Veteran's Day Breakfast
- 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Veteran's Day Lunch
- Veterans will speak in all social studies classes throughout the day and talk about their experiences and what it means to be a veteran.
