Yard Waste Clean Up Week

Make some time this weekend to get a jump on outdoor spring cleaning because the village will begin collecting yard waste on Monday.

The Village of Grayslake's Yard Waste Week takes place the week of April 8.

There is no cost to residents for this service. Residents may set out an unlimited amount of yard waste for this one-time pick-up.

When setting out yard waste, residents are asked to follow these guidelines:

  • Yard waste (up to 50 pounds) must be placed in brown paper yard waste bags or plastic garbage containers (up to 32 gallon size) clearly marked "yard waste."
  • All branches should be tied in bundles no more than 2' in diameter and no more than 4' long.
  • Residents should not place their garbage, recycling, or yard waste at the curb before 6:00 p.m. on the night before the scheduled pick-up.

Residents may also use the yard waste sticker service or yard waste subscription service.
