Work Continues on Port Clinton's Sprinkler System
Contractor still working on 24/7 schedule to finish the project by May 24.

The below information comes from the City of Highland Park.
The City’s contractor F.E. Moran Fire Protection
Moran is installing new sprinkler piping on the P2 level of the City-owned garage. Once this level is completed, the contractor will transition to the P1 level. The P2 level is expected to be completed next week and open to the public.

In response to , the , the lowest responsible bidder, on May 12 and the contractor began working immediately. The parking garage was closed May 5 . The Port Clinton building complex remains open as the fire protection system in the garage is distinct from the system protecting the remaining portions of the Port Clinton complex.

The City continues to run a shuttle service for parking garage patrons between the following locations: Renaissance Place parking garage, 1849 Green Bay Road; Immaculate Conception church, 770 West Deerfield Road; and the Central Train Station East Commuter Lot, South End. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off will occur at the entrance to the Port Clinton garage on Laurel Avenue. The shuttle runs from 6:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is estimated that driving the shuttle route will take 15 minutes to complete.
Port Clinton Management will continue valet parking service to assist customers next week Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. Established unloading and loading zones are available on both sides of Laurel Avenue at the Port Clinton parking garage entrance.
