Hinsdale Police to Conduct Halloween Traffic Enforcement

Hinsdale police will be cracking down on impaired driving on Halloween, Oct. 31, with an aggressive Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort.

Drivers are advised to “keep the party off the road,” according to Hinsdale police.

Drunken drivers were involved in 43 percent of all crashes that killed people on Halloween nights from 2009 to 2013 nationally, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Nineteen percent of fatal pedestrian crashes on Halloweens during that period also involved drunken drivers.
