Vomiting Man Leads Cops to Arrest 2 Women on Coke Charges: Police

The women were caught with hypodermic needles and cocaine, police said.

A Lockport man throwing up in the parking lot of a closed car wash caught the attention of a cop who went on to arrest two of the sick man’s companions on coke charges, police said.

The man, 23-year-old David Anderson, was standing outside a green Dodge Caravan parked in the lot of the Delta Sonic at the corner of Jefferson Street and Larkin Avenue shortly after midnight Tuesday.

An officer pulled up and asked Anderson what he was doing, police said, and Anderson replied that he was vomiting.

Two women were reportedly sitting in the front seat of the 1999 Caravan. One of them, Gennae Ulbricht, 23, of Joliet, stepped out of the van, police said, and when she did, a crack pipe fell to the ground.

The officer ordered Ulbricht back into the van and called for backup.

Anderson allegedly admitted to holding marijuana, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia. A Walmart shopping bag at Ulbricht’s feet held five more needles and an Altoids tin containing nine baggies of cocaine, police said.

The woman in the driver’s seat, 20-year-old Lisa Townsend of Joliet, had stashed a makeup bag in her bra, police said. Inside the makeup bag, officers reportedly found 14 more needles and another Altoids tin holding eight bags of cocaine.

Anderson, Ulbricht and Townsend all were arrested. Ulbricht and Townsend were taken to the Will County jail. Anderson was released on his own recognizance. The van was towed.
