$600 Stove Stolen, Briefcase Goes Missing: Blotter
Flossmoor police reports, March 8-11.

MONDAY, MARCH 11
Rifle Ammo Found in Yard
A rifle magazine containing .223-caliber ammo was found in the 18900 block of Harding Avenue. The woman who reported the ammo told police she discovered it lying in her yard. It is not known how long the magazine the yard before it was found.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9
Stove Taken from Hamlin Avenue Home
A stove was reported stolen from a home in the 18700 block of Hamlin Avenue, according to a report. The owner had recently bought the property to rehabilitate it. He last saw the stove on Feb. 28. There were no signs of a break-in. The stove is a Whirlpool and is valued at $600. No arrests were reported.

FRIDAY, MARCH 8
Briefcase Goes Missing
A brown, leather briefcase was stolen from a car that was parked in the Homewood Flossmoor High School’s north campus, 800 Governors Hwy, according to a report. The briefcase’s owner said he went to a gymnastics meet in the school at about 6 p.m. He returned to find the passenger-side window smashed and the briefcase gone. Police were unable to recover any evidence that would lead to a suspect. The briefcase contained keys, a wallet, various ID cards and bank cards. No arrests were reported.
