Chicago Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Homewood Crash
The crash happened at 178th and Halsted Street Tuesday.
HOMEWOOD, IL — A 67-year-old Chicago man has been identified as the victim of a fatal, multi-vehicle crash in Homewood Tuesday.
Lewis D. Nunn, of the 7300 block S. Marshfield Ave., was killed in the crash in the 17800 block of Halsted Street, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police were called to the crash just before noon Tuesday. The crash involved a gray Chevy sedan, a Ford SUV, and a semi-truck. The driver of the SUV—now identified as Nunn—was dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevy sedan was treated for injuries and taken to a local hospital. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation by the Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance from the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team (SMART).
