Flossmoor Teen Babysitting Course Offers CPR, Safety Skills Training

The course is scheduled for two Thursdays during winter break.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Teens looking for some basic training and safety skills commonly needed in babysitting will have a chance to learn from a Flossmoor firefighter.

The Flossmoor Fire Department invites teens to join a winter break babysitting safety program, set for two dates set during winter break. In the Winter Break Babysitting Safety Training program, participants ages 13 and up will learn childcare safety basics, including CPR and basic first aid. Participants will receive a CPR certification card at the program’s completion.

Led by Flossmoor firefighter/paramedic Kelly Thacker, the two-day program will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, and Thursday, Jan. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Flossmoor Village Hall Board Room, located at 2800 Flossmoor Road.
