Man, 19, Shot During Attempted Carjacking: Homewood PD
The incident happened in the 17900 block of Halsted Street Sunday around 7:30 p.m., police said.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating Sunday after a 19-year-old man was shot during an attempted carjacking, police said.
Police and paramedics were called around 7:30 p.m. to the 17900 block of Halsted Street for a report of a gunshot victim. Police learned that the victim—a 19-year-old male—was shot during an attempted carjacking.
The offender(s) fled in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he is reportedly in serious condition, police said.
