Man 'Randomly' Fired Gun, Told Police Someone Shot At Him: Homewood PD
A 32-year-old man faces a gun charge after an incident early Tuesday.
HOMEWOOD, IL — A Homewood man who told police someone shot at him as he was leaving his home relayed false information, Homewood police said Wednesday.
An investigation into the shots fired call revealed that the man had actually left his home and began "randomly firing rounds in various directions with no specific target" early Tuesday, Homewood police said Wednesday.
Emmanuel Simmons, 32, was found alone at the scene, in possession of a gun. Simmons was charged with one felony count of aggravated discharge of a weapon.

Simmons was transported to the Markham Court House for a detention hearing on Dec. 13.
