USF Plans $6 Million Construction Project On Campus In Joliet

The University of St. Francis in Joliet has been issued a building permit to move forward with the $6 million project at 500 Wilcox Street.

JOLIET — The city of Joliet has approved a building construction permit to allow the University of St. Francis to build the three-story, 22 room USF Student Success Center. The permit was approved at City Hall on March 25, and the details of the project reveal this will be a building addition to the Tower Hall on campus for extended cafeteria seating and workspaces.

The value of the construction is listed at $6 million, according to city records.

Holabird & Root in Chicago is listed as the design architect. R. Berti & Son of Joliet's Rock Creek Boulevard is the general contractor. Adler Roofing and Sheet Metal of Joliet's Joyce Road is the roofing contractor, and Omega Plumbing of Joliet's Oak Leaf Court will handle plumbing work. Peter Perella & Co. of Joliet's Scott Street is the HVAC contractor and C&D Recycling Services in New Lenox will perform the concrete work. Pullara Builders in Minooka is the demolition contractor.
