City Hall Parking Lot Closed For Another Joliet Street Repair Project

The section of Des Plaines Avenue between the Jefferson Street Bridge and the Joliet Police Station is now closed thanks to Austin Tyler.

The city of Joliet has closed Des Plaines Street right behind City Hall, resulting in the city of Joliet's public parking stalls along the canal wall being off-limits to people.

Austin Tyler is the same company that Joliet hired earlier this year for the $20 million water main and street improvement project taking place along North Chicago Street near the Rialto, a project that also includes the creation of a new downtown City Square.

Now that misery has spread to the street between the Joliet police station and City Hall — as evidenced by more empty Austin Tyler Construction equipment.
