Jefferson Street Bridge Reopens After Being Hit By Barge: Joliet PD
As of just after 8 p.m., the bridge had reopened, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English told Patch.

JOLIET — With the Cass Street Bridge already closed for repair work, a barge crashed into the Jefferson Street Bridge on Wednesday night and the Joliet police told drivers to stay away from Jefferson Street heading into the downtown.
While officials warned that the bridge would be out of service for an undisclosed amount of time, as of just after 8 p.m., Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English told Patch that the bridge had reopened.
