On the Beat With Rocket Pro Wrestling

Rocket Pro Wrestling returns to Joliet, Saturday, October 14. I interviewed Joey Roth and Steve Ahrendt about their situation.

We are one week away from the return of Rocket Pro Wrestling. I interviewed Joey Roth and Steve Ahrendt to get a preview of the upcoming show and to try to get these two to settle their differences.

I tried. I really tried. I did get a preview of Darkness Falls, but I wasn't successful with squelching this long-running feud.

In one room I had Joey Roth, leader of the World Famous Fabulous Idols. In another room was Steve Ahrendt, commentator and holder of the newly rechristened Main Event belt. If the Main Event belt looks familiar, it is because it was formerly the Joey Roth belt, held by Joey, of course. Their animosity runs beyond that belt though.

Factions, defections, turns, surprise returns and more have brought us to where we are. And right now, the situation is murkier than ever.

Joey vows revenge. Steve mocks Joey as he proudly taps "his" belt. Where does newly arrived commentator C Red fit in this equation?

I didn't solve the problems and who knows what will happen next at Darkness Falls on Saturday, October 14. Emanating from St. Joseph Park, Darkness Falls promises to be another great wrestling event.

Besides the Joey-Steve situation, look at these matches.

Each of those eight matches is Main Event material. Even the matches with no title or stipulations surely will have ramifications on future events at RPW. Who knows what other surprises will happen?

Then there is the commentator table. Steve and Shelly already were entangled with Joey, Roxi Heart and the Idols. Now C Red is apparently in the mix. Keep one eye on that area for any new developments.

Darkness Falls starts at 5 pm, with doors and concessions opening at 4 pm. It is sure to be another sellout, so get your tickets early and get ready for an evening of fun. Until then, check out what is going on with Joey and Steve in my interview below.
