‘Black Shadow’ Walter Payton Jersey-Wearing Bandit Stuck Up 7-Eleven

SHOREWOOD, IL — A masked gunman stuck up the 7-Eleven on Cottage Street Tuesday night, and the cops are trying to track him down by his specialty “black shadow” Walter Payton jersey and his distinctive work gloves.
The crook struck about 9:30 p.m., brandishing a chrome and black a small-caliber handgun and snatching cigarettes and cash.
The thief is about 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, and appeared to be in his early 20s.

Anyone with information on the armed robbery, or who recognizes the bandit’s jersey or work gloves, is asked to call the Shorewood police at 815-725-1460.
