Car Strikes Joliet Woman, Arrest Warrant Issued For Joliet Man, 31
Joliet Police Sgt. Nick Giordano filed the criminal complaint in recent days against Joliet citizen Nestor Guzman-Mejia of Richards Street.

JOLIET— A 31-year-old Joliet man from the 300 block of Richards Street now has the Joliet Police Department out looking for him in connection with last September's injuries to a woman on Henderson Avenue. Nestor Guzman-Mejia is charged with four counts of aggravated battery in connection with the incident from Sept. 12.
The criminal complaint from Joliet Police Sgt. Nick Giordano alleges that Guzman struck the woman about her body with his car on Henderson Avenue. The criminal complaint indicates that Guzman used his Toyota sedan to injure the woman in a public right of way.
Will County Judge Tom Slazyk signed off on the arrest warrant at the end of last week. The document indicates that Guzman is 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The warrant notes that "defendant to be held without release and brought before this court for pretrial detention or conditions of release hearing."
