Is Cesar Guerrero On Election Ballot For Joliet Township Supervisor?
Will County Democrat Party issued a press release on Friday maintaining that the voters will be able to see Guerrero's name on the ballot.

JOLIET — On Friday morning, the Will County Democrat Party issued a press release claiming that Cesar Guerrero will get his name back on the April 1 election ballot for the race of Joliet Township Supervisor. Earlier this week, Republican Will County Clerk Annette Parker announced that Guerrero was among a handful of people whose names will not appear on the ballot.
In December, Joliet Patch reported that Joliet City Council at-large member Cesar Guerrero revealed that he has withdrawn his candidacy papers at City Hall regarding his plans to seek re-election. Instead, Guerrero is running for another more notable political office: Joliet Township Supervisor.
The supervisor position had been held by Angel Contreras, but the three-time convicted drunken driver resigned from elected office last year, after pleading guilty to a felony. In Contreras' place, Alicia Morales was appointed as the Joliet Township Supervisor.

According to Friday's announcement by the Will County Democrats: County Clerk Parker notified the township clerks that several people were being removed from the election ballots for having outstandings fines and fees owed to the state election board and Guerrero was one of them.
The Democrats said that this week, in compliance with state law, that Joliet township Democratic organizations voted to nominate Guerrero to fill the vacancy created by the county clerk and that all of his Guerrero's appropriate paperwork was filed to get him back on the April 1 ballot.

"It's time to get back to the issues that matter," Guerrero said in the press release. "Providing reliable government services for the residents of Joliet Township. I'm focused on speaking to every voter I can between now and April 1st to ensure that we are prioritizing effective solutions to our community's needs."
