Channahon Casey’s Bandit Captured In Plainfield: Cops

The armed robber was arrested and his gun was recovered, police said.

CHANNAHON, IL — A gunman wanted in connection with a Monday night robbery at the Eames Street Casey’s General Store was apprehended in Plainfield, police said.

Quinton Harris, 22, was captured on Cove Court about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said they also recovered a handgun.

Harris, a Joliet resident, was one of three men charged with sticking up Home Cut Donuts back in 2015.

Harris pleaded guilty to theft in exchange for prosecutors dropping charges of armed robbery and aggravated robbery. He was sentenced to 283 days in jail and freed the day after he pleaded.

Harris now has a new armed robbery case for pulling a gun at the Casey’s Monday night, according to police.
