City Issues Notice Of Special Zoning Board Of Appeals Meeting

Pursuant to Section 2.02 of the Open Meetings Act 5 (ILCS 12/1 et seq.), notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Joliet has been called for Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Joliet City Hall, 150 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois for the following purpose.

2020-46: Variation on Trailer Parking, Article VII, Paragraph 47-17.17, Subparagraph (n)(29) of the City’s Zoning Ordinance on approximately 1257 acres of various parcels generally located South of Breen Road, East of Chicago Road, North of Hoff Road and West of Ridge Road to allow for trailer and wheeled container parking (i) on the short ends of a structure; (ii) in double-deep configuration and (iii) perpendicular to both axes of the structure, provided, in all cases that the total number of all accessory trailer and wheeled-container parking spots on an individual site shall not exceed 1 per 1,500 square feet of building floor area; and

2020-47: Special Use Permit to allow Carting, Express, and Hauling Establishments (Truck Terminals), limited however, to no more than 40 total acres of the approximately 80 acres, generally located on Rowell Road South of Brown Road.
