Female Driver Wounded When Gunman Shoots At Her Car: Joliet Police
The gunman got away before the Joliet police cars arrived at the scene, officials said.

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department said a woman suffered a graze wound from several gunshots that were fired from someone traveling in another vehicle around 4:15 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of South Water Street, an area in the city has been plagued by lots of violent crimes over the years.
According to police agency spokesman Dwayne English, at 4:13 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of South Water Street for shots fired. The officers found spent shell casings in the alley between Water and Desplaines Street.
The shots were fired from a dark vehicle at a white vehicle. The female driver of the white vehicle had been grazed by gunfire in her left leg while she was eastbound in the alley, police said. A Joliet Fire Department ambulance responded to the scene, but the victim declined treatment to the hospital.
