Drunken Wrong-Way Driver Kicked Cop's Groin After Waking Up In Wrecked Car: Police

He also tried to bite a staffer at St. Joe's Hospital, police said.

A drunken driver heading the wrong way down Eastern Avenue slammed into another car, then scuffled with cops, firefighters and a staffer at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center after he woke up, police said.

The cops found 26-year-old Barry Tillman passed out in his 2003 Buick Rendezvous about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Tillman allegedly drove the wrong way on Eastern and collided with a 2015 Ford Fusion heading the correct way near Cass Street. Tillman’s car ended up on the sidewalk.

Any injuries to the 53-year-old driver of the Fusion were not mentioned in police reports.

When Tillman came to, he tried to walk away from the cops and the crash, police said, then became combative and had to be bound to a gurney.

Tillman still managed to kick a cop in the groin and attempted to bite a staffer at St. Joe’s after he got to the hospital, police said.

Tillman’s blood alcohol content was 0.27 percent, police said. He was taken to the Will County jail.
