'Encanto' Sing-Along Concert Tour Kicks Off At Joliet's Rialto Theater

Fans of the Disney animated hit are invited to come dressed as their favorite "Encanto" character and provide the soundtrack to songs.

JOLIET, IL — Fans of the music from the Disney animated hit “Encanto” will have the opportunity to sing all their favorites at the top of their lungs when a unique musical experience comes to Joliet later this year.

Disney Concerts announced this week that the Rialto Square Theater will host the first of 45 tour stops of the Encanto Sing-Along Film Concert. The event, which does not include any live performances, offers audiences the chance to provide the soundtrack to the film’s musical favorites such as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure” along with other hits that will be part of the performance.

The Sing-Along Concert event will take place on Sept. 19 at the Rialto and tickets went on sale on Friday morning.

Fans are encouraged to dress up as Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, or any of their favorite characters from the film and to use their voices to transform each venue into one big celebration of the Madrigal family, Disney Concerts said in a news release.

The “Encanto” soundtrack includes eight original songs that were written by Academy Award and Tony Award-winning performer and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda that accompanied an original score created by Academy Award-nominated and Grammy-winning composer Germaine Franco.

Music from Encanto swept the Visual Media categories at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, winning Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, and Song Written for Visual Media (“We Don’t Talk About Bruno”).

Tickets for the Joliet tour stop range between $28.50 and $73.50 (not including fees) and are available on Ticketmaster.
