Fire At Joliet Home While Residents Were Gone

JOLIET — Residents of a Joliet home at in the 1100 block of Antram Avenue were not home when it up smoke as a result of a Sunday evening fire. The fire happened around 5:40 p.m.

According to Joliet fire battalion chief James Ryan, the Joliet Fire Department responded to the home for a report of structure fire. The first units arrived within five minutes of the call. Upon investigation, the crews found flames venting from a picture window in the front of the home. Responding crews made entry through the front door and extinguished the fire.

The scene was declared under control at 6:10 p.m. There were no injuries.
