Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band Tusk Coming To Joliet's Rialto Theater

JOLIET, IL — A band that prides itself on bringing the Fleetwood Mac experience to audiences across the country will bring its tribute to the British-American Rock N Roll Hall of Fame to Joliet this fall, organizers recently announced.

Tickets went on sale on Friday for Tusk, which refers to itself as the world’s leading Fleetwood Mac tribute band. The band will perform at the Rialto Square Theater Nov. 16.

The band, which was formed in 2008, has been performing around the U.S., bringing its unique spin on Fleetwood Mac’s music with five musicians that have devoted themselves to re-create the band’s beloved musical style with their own twist.

The band thrives on chemistry, synergy and intuition, the band says in a news release while also providing familiar lyrics and stylings to audiences around the country for the past 15 years.

Two of the band’s members met while playing Little League baseball while two others while performing in the same middle school and high school band. The group of musicians have since played in various bands and singer-songwriter circles and have brought that all together to perfect their take on Fleetwood Mac for more than a dozen years.

“Time, trust and close friendship have cultivated an intimate familiarity with each other’s musical nuances, shaping each performance with such precision that even the slightest variation virtually imperceptible to all but the five musicians sharing the stage, is met with a nod and usually an inside joke,” the band said in a news release. “Tusk is more than a band, it is a family.”
