Garbage Collection To Be Delayed By Thanksgiving Holiday

Press release from the City of Joliet:

Garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup will be one day late on Thursday and Friday during the week of November 23, 2020 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Residents with Monday through Wednesday pickup will not be impacted by this change. Normal collection schedule will resume the week of November 30, 2020.

City Hall will be closed for resident business (including remote contact) on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, 2020 in observation of Thanksgiving. The downtown parking decks will be free of charge and there will be no enforcement of the parking meters on this day.
