JOLIET, IL — Two gunmen opened fire on a crowd partying outside a house on Richmond Street Saturday night, leaving a teenage girl and two women wounded.
A witness reportedly told police of seeing a car pull into the alley behind the house on Richmond near William Street shortly before 9 p.m. The car stopped and two men — one stocky and wearing jeans and a light-colored T-shirt, the other thin and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a white mask — emerged, police said.
The men opened fire on a group of 10 to 15 people standing outside the house, police said. A 25-year-old woman was struck in the left arm, a 54-year-old woman was hit in the right shoulder and a 17-year-old girl was shot in the eye. All three were taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.
