Man Found Dead Near Walmart ID'd As Bolingbrook Man: Coroner
Joliet police were notified of the death of the 71-year-old Bolingbrook man just before 8:30 a.m. Monday.

JOLIET, IL — A man found dead near the parking lot of Walmart on West Jefferson Street was identified as 71-year-old Philip M. Pique of Bolingbrook, the Will County Coroner's Office said.
He was killed by an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the coroner. Joliet police are investigating the incident.
Monday morning, a portion of the Walmart parking lot was cordoned off by police tape, and a section of nearby Joyce Road was closed. The incident occurred in a tree-lined area just outside the Walmart parking lot.

Officers were called to the scene around 8:25 a.m., police said.
Joliet Police Department spokesman Dwayne English said a gun was recovered at the scene.
