Man Tried To Strangle Pregnant Woman After Throwing Table: JPD
Darryl Moore, 40, was later processed and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility without incident, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department arrested 40-year-old Darryl Moore in connection with allegations he tried to strangle a pregnant woman on Sunday.
Sunday afternoon's incident resulted in charges of aggravated domestic battery.
According to Joliet police spokesman Tizoc Landeros, at about 3 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Bluff Street regarding a domestic battery.

Landeros said the victim told officers that Moore was in her apartment when an argument ensued. According to police, the victim asked Moore to leave, he refused, then injured the victim when he threw a table.
Landeros said the victim tried to get away from Moore by retreating to a room in her apartment, but Moore began to strangle her. She was able to defend herself and got away from Moore, but sustained minor injuries to her neck, police said.

Moore was still on the scene when the officers arrived. He was arrested and taken to the Joliet Police booking area. Moore was later processed and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
