Autopsy Showed High School Football Player Suffered Head Injury
Autopsy results have revealed that Bogan High School senior Andre Smith died of blunt force injuries to the head due to football.
Smith, 17, was taken unconscious from the field Thursday during a game against Chicago Vocational High School. He never regained consciousness, and died Friday morning. His death has been ruled an accident. >>Read more about the autopsy results
Wheaton Mansion Built by “Father of Golf” in 1897 Listed at $1.9 Million
A Wheaton mansion built in 1897 by Charles Blair Macdonald, who is considered the “father of golf in America,” has been listed for sale for $1.975 million.
The estate, known as the “Ballyshear,” has seven bedrooms and bathrooms and over 6,000 square foot of space. It is located adjacent to the Chicago Golf Club, according to Zillow.com. Geneva Ranked Among Best Towns for Trick-or-Treating in the U.S.
- Editors at The Daily Meal recently ranked the 25 best spots in the U.S. for trick-or-treating and Geneva received an impressive ranking at No. 7 on the list. Elmhurst was the only other Illinois town to make the Daily Meal’s trick-or-treating list. Elmhurst was ranked at No. 23 on the list.
2 Charged in Oak Street Beach Knifepoint Robbery: Police
- Chicago police have arrested two of the three men believed to be involved in robbing a pair of tourists at knifepoint on Oak Street Beach late Saturday evening.
