Joliet Home Shot Up On Far West Side As People Were Inside It: Police

The shooting happened in the Joliet subdivision near Theodore Street and Ridge Road.

JOLIET— The first shooting in March across the city of Joliet happened in the Plainfield area, way out near Theodore Street and Ridge Road, according to Joliet police officials.

Agency spokesman issued Dwayne English issued a press release noting that the shooting was around 1 a.m. on Saturday.

Officers responded to the 8000 block of Shady Oak Road for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers discovered that a residence had been struck by multiple rounds of gunfire. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.

Officers discovered numerous spent shell casings following a canvass of the area. No arrests have been made in reference to this shooting.
