Joliet Junior College To Go Virtual As Winter Storm Approaches
On the final day of classes ahead of winter break, college officials said inclement weather led to the decision to go virtual on Thursday.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Junior College will offer virtual services only on Thursday, as a winter storm approaches the Chicago area.
The college will be closed for winter break starting Friday through Jan. 2 but said that as heavy snow and plummeting temperatures are expected to hit the region starting on Thursday, classes would not be held in person.
Joliet and the rest of the greater Chicago area is under a winter storm warning starting at noon p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Saturday. Falling and blowing snow could cause "white-out conditions" with zero visibility at times, the weather service said. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected.
