Joliet Library Pauses Computer Use To Prevent Coronavirus Spread
The library will continue to provide printing pickup services, but in-person scanning, faxing and copying have been put on hold.

JOLIET, IL — Both branches of the Joliet Public Library have put a temporary hold on using public computers, fax machines, scanners and copy machines amid the coronavirus pandemic, the library announced on Monday.
The moratorium on computer usage aligns with new coronavirus mitigation requirements from the State of Illinois, the library said in a news release. The restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
Although public access to computers and other devices is restricted, the library will continue to provide printing pickup services for documents up to 20 pages. The library said print jobs should be emailed to jpbref@jolietlibrary.org, along with a note clarifying at which branch the documents will be collected.
