JOLIET, IL — A Joliet 22-year-old man faces aggravated assault charges after police said intentionally crashed into another person’s truck after he had already damaged an ex-girlfriend’s vehicle earlier this month, police said.

Corey Benson was arrested on Tuesday, nearly two weeks after police said Benson arrived at a home in the 1300 block of Mason Avenue and damaged his ex-girlfriend’s Jeep while it was parked in the driveway. Police said at the time, a friend of the woman drove by the home and that Benson got into his vehicle and began following the man.

Benson then followed the vehicle to the area of West Jefferson and Raynor Avenue and intentionally collided with the truck with the vehicle and then fled.
