Joliet Meth Dealer Has Warrant Out For Her Arrest: Prosecutors
Margarita Saavedra, now 37 years old, has been incarcerated in the Will County Jail in 2023, 2022 and 2017. Now, there's a new warrant.

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for 37-year-old Williamson Avenue resident Margarita Saavedra in connection with allegations of meth dealing.
The criminal complaint against the Joliet woman charges her with unlawful possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Aug. 30, Saavedra possessed between 15 and 100 grams of meth, the charges indicate. Another of her charges indicates that Saavedra "knowingly possessed an item of drug paraphernalia, glass pipes, with the intent to use it in introducing a controlled substance into the human body."

Last week's bench warrant came from Will County Judge Tom Slazyk.
The judge has ordered Saavedra to be held without release and brought before the court for pretrial detention or conditions of release hearing.

Saavedra spent time in the Will County Jail on two different occasions in 2023, once in 2022 and once in 2017.
