Joliet Plan Commission Changes This Week's Meeting Location

Thursday's meeting will now be held in the Joliet Police Department Community Room.

The December 17, 2020 Meeting of the Joliet Plan Commission will now be held in the Joliet Police Department Community Room, located at 150 W. Washington St., second floor of the Joliet Police Department. The meeting will start at 4 p.m. The agenda has been updated to reflect this change. Residents are encouraged to submit written comments to the Plan Commission regarding agenda items or sign up to participate telephonically at the meeting.

Citizens wishing to attend the meeting in person will be staged in groups of 10 people in various locations within the Joliet Police Department (JPD) Lobby as well as City Hall. These groups will wait in these areas until the public hearing agenda that they wish to speak about item has commenced or the Public Comments section of the meeting has commenced. Speakers will be rotated into the JPD Community Room to allow everyone an opportunity to speak.

Written comments can be emailed to publiccomment@joliet.gov. When providing written comments to be included as public participation at a public meeting, clearly identify the following in the subject line:
• The date of the meeting and type of meeting (e.g. Joliet Plan Commission)
• Agenda item that you wish to address with your comments to the public body.

Those wishing to participate in a live telephone call option at a public meeting must sign up not less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the meeting. A city representative will call the participant at the relevant portion of the meeting and the participant will be allowed to participate telephonically at the meeting. To participate in a live telephone call, the request shall be made through the City’s Joliet.gov website, specifically the “Public Comments” website page and the “Meeting Schedule & Procedures” website page.
