Shotgun Recovered, Man, 47, Faces Disorderly Conduct Charge: JPD
Police say the man called 911, and was ordered by police to exit the ho use.

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department announced that a 47-year-old man was taken away from his home in the 5500 block of Meadowbrook Street, near Theodore Street, and his shotgun was confiscated by the SWAT team during Wednesday morning's "shelter-in place" call for the subdivision.
By Wednesday night, Joliet police issued a press release indicating that 47-year-old Edgar Hernandez of Plainfield was arrested and released at the hospital and given a notice to appear in court for one count of disorderly conduct related to the incident that occurred earlier in the day in the 5500 block of Meadowbrook Street.
"Announcements were given for the occupants to exit the home, at which time the 47-year-old male caller and his two adult sons eventually exited the home," Joliet Police Spokesman Dwayne English said after the SWAT team called ended peacefully. "No other occupants were located in the residence and a shotgun was recovered, following a search of the home. After speaking to the individuals involved, it was believed that no one was in danger and the 47-year-old male may have experienced a mental health episode that precipitated this incident. This male was transported to St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department for an evaluation."
