Joliet Shooting Victim Does Not Want Joliet Police To Solve His Crime, Cops Reveal

JOLIET, IL — A man was shot under mysterious circumstances early Saturday, and the shooting victim does not want to help the Joliet police force find his shooter, a police news release indicated.

At 4:59 a.m., the officers responded to Silver Cross Hospital for a gunshot victim. Officers spoke to a man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the left hand. The victim told the officers that while walking in the 500 block of North Broadway Street between 2 and 3 a.m., he was approached by a man who shot him in the hand.

The victim indicated that he was transported to Silver Cross Hospital in a private vehicle, according to the release. The victim was uncooperative when questioned and provided multiple locations of occurrence, Joliet police said.
