At 7:12 p.m., the officers responded to a residence in the 3300 block of D Hutchinson Avenue for a domestic disturbance. The officers learned that Baker was inside the residence and had an active Will County warrant. Officers encountered Baker and was placed into custody following a brief struggle in which he initially resisted by tensing his body and pulling his hands away from the officers.

Officers learned that during a disturbance at the residence, Baker became involved in an argument with another person. Another man attempted to intervene, at which time it is believed that Baker shoved his father twice. Baker is suspected of then grabbing a folding knife and threatening the two men. Baker’s two relatives then retreated from the residence. Baker’s warrant was for missing Will County court on previous charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer.
