Liquor Store Lout Locked Up: Cops

A Joliet man wanted for an alleged attack at a west side liquor store was apprehended and jailed.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man wanted for allegedly hitting another man in the head at a west side liquor store has been captured.

Raymond Johnson, 45, was arrested and jailed Monday morning on felony aggravated battery charges.

Johnson attacked a man at Stang Kelly Liquors on West Jefferson Street on Sept. 24, police said.

A warrant for Johnson’s arrest was issued earlier this month. The warrant carries a $100,000 bond.

Johnson allegedly attacked a man named Randy Johnson. It was not clear if the two Johnsons are related.

Raymond Johnson was taken into custody by the Romeoville police.
