Name of Man Slain in Joliet Trailer Released
The man was identified through dental records after spending nearly a week dead in his trailer.

The Will County Coroner’s Office released the name of the man found slain in his Joliet trailer Tuesday morning.
Robert Barski, 60, was identified through dental records. His family was then tracked down and informed that he had been slain. Barski’s next-of-kin reportedly live in Texas.
Barski’s neighbors in Criswell Court knew him only as “Bobby” but recalled him as a “nice guy” who was quiet and kept to himself.

Barski had not been seen outside his home in the trailer park off Cass Street in nearly a week, neighbors said. A stench coming from his trailer troubled Criswell Court resident Linda Wilkerson, and she alerted trailer park owner Austin Criswell.
Barski had been stabbed multiple times in the back and side, according to police.

Police spent all of Tuesday at the trailer park off Cass Street investigating the death, Criswell said.
A source said detectives were looking into whether a former Criswell Court resident who had been seen lurking around the trailer park lately may have had something to do with the slaying. Barski’s next-door neighbor, Katie Gallagher, described the mystery man as middle-aged and Asian, and told how he who would ride bicycles with Barski.
