No More Blinking Red Lights In This Part of Joliet
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution and when traveling through these intersections.

JOLIET — The City of Joliet issued a press release on Friday announcing that it will transition the traffic signals at the intersections of Joliet Street and Van Buren Street, and Joliet Street and Clinton Street, from a flashing red light operation to normal traffic signal operation, effective Monday, March 10.
These two traffic signals have operated in a flashing red condition for many years, primarily due to the former Harrah’s Casino valet parking, which required frequent pedestrian crossings of Joliet Street.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution and when traveling through these intersections.
