Plainfield Woman Charged With Murder In Death Of Child, 2, In Another Illinois Town
An arrest warrant was issued on April 4 for Tatiana Neustadter, and Joliet police took her into custody this week.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet police force has arrested a woman living in the Plainfield area who was wanted in the 2019 death of a child in Danville, Illinois.
Danville Police announced on social media that the Vermilion County State's Attorney's Office obtained an arrest warrant for Tatiana Neustadter back on April 4 in connection with the investigation of a severely injured child that started on June 4, 2019. The child died weeks later.
"Through diligent and continuous investigation by Danville Police detectives and cooperation with the Vermilion County State's Attorney's Office, Neustadter was arrested for the warrant by the Joliet Police Department on Monday, April 21," the police agency announced.

Back in Danville, she faces four counts of murder and two counts of aggravated battery to a child. Neustadter has been returned to Danville, and she was booked into the Vermillion County jail. Neustadter had been living in the Plainfield area on Westhampton Drive at the time of her arrest, even though her Will County Jail records listed her as being a resident of Oak Lawn.
A television station in Danville interviewed a prosecutor who said that Neustadter was not related to the slain child, but that Neustadter was in a relationship with the child's mother.
