Reckless Driver Obliterates Joliet's City Entrance Once Again
Time and time again, motorists driving too fast South Center Street, near The Haley Mansion, crash into the city's entrance and destroy it.

JOLIET — There are few certainties in the city of Joliet, but one of them is that some out of control driver will always crash into the city of Joliet's entrance gateway for the St. Pat's Area. A disaster has happened once again, Joliet Patch discovered this week.
On Tuesday, Joliet Patch found mangled car parts at the site of the apparent collision along South Center Street, near The Haley Mansion. The crash toppled one of Joliet's flagpoles and destroyed the limestones near the word "JOLIET."
Joliet Patch has reached out to the Joliet Police Department to find out whether the agency was aware of a crash at the intersection and whether details were available regarding the time and date of the wreck.

This marks at least the second consecutive year involving someone losing control of their vehicle and crashing into the city of Joliet entrance wall along South Center Street.
