Sex Crimes In Joliet, Police Arrest Man, 26, From Iowa Ave: Prosecutor

JOLIET— A 26-year-old Joliet resident is now being kept in the Will County Jail following an investigation by the Joliet Police Department into allegations of sexual abuse. On Tuesday, the Will County prosecutors charged Franklin Quinonez-Cortez, who comes from the 100 block of Iowa Avenue, with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The criminal complaint indicates that Quinonez committed the crime of sexual penetration against a girl who was between the ages of 13 and 16, during the time period of June 1, 2023 and Dec. 5, 2023. The second charge indicates that the sexual penetration happened between Dec. 6, 2023 and Jan. 30, 2024.
Will County Judge Art Smigielski signed the arrest warrant authorizing the Joliet man's arrest on the two charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Joliet police arrested Quinonez and booked him into the county jail on Tuesday night.
