Shot In Joliet: Victim Suffers 3 Gunshots During Overnight Crime
Spent shell casings were located inside the home, police said.

JOLIET — While most of the citizens of Joliet were sound asleep in their beds, the Joliet Police Department's overnight shift, along with the Joliet Fire Department paramedics, responded to a shooting on the city's southeast side.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 3:46 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a house in the 400 block of South Joliet Street for a report of a person shot. The officers found a 20-year-old man who had sustained three gunshot wounds to his lower body.
Officers provided medical assistance to the victim until the arrival of paramedics. The victim was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department with non-life threatening injuries.

Spent shell casings were located inside the home. The shooting remains under active investigation, police said.
