Teen, 16, Harmed Inside Car By Crest Hill Man: Joliet Police
Donald Sickmier is suspected of lunging at his son from the back seat and punching him in the face multiple times, Joliet police advised.

JOLIET — Joliet police say a 16-year-old boy was harmed inside a 46-year-old Crest Hill man's car on Sunday afternoon, resulting in Donald Sickmier's arrest on charges of aggravated domestic battery and detention in the Will County Jail.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to Sickmier's arrest on the Sunday:
At 1:23 p.m., the officers responded to the area of Plainfield Road and William Street for a domestic disturbance that had occurred in a vehicle. Sickmier had attacked a 16-year-old boy while in a vehicle. It is believed that the victim was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle driven by his mother and Sickmier was in the rear passenger seat.

While in the vehicle, Sickmier is suspected of lunging at his son from the back seat and punching him in the face multiple times. Sickmier then choked the victim at which time the victim ran from the vehicle for help, English noted.
The victim was transported to St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department for injuries sustained in the attack.

Sickmier exited the vehicle and ran from the area. Sickmier was located a short time later near North Raynor Street and Taylor Street and was placed into custody without incident, according to the arrest report.
