Teen Terrorized By Hand Creeping Through Open Window

JOLIET, IL — A teenage girl was shocked and frightened by a hand slinking into her home through an open window.

The 17-year-old was “sitting in her residence” shortly before 12:30 p.m. Friday when the hand appeared in the window of her Des Plaines Street home, police said.

The window had been propped open with an air-conditioner, giving the hand room to gain entry. The teen noticed the hand when it pulled down a shirt that was hanging by the window.

The teen screamed when she caught sight of the hand. The hand then vanished.

The hand appeared to belong to a white man and was emerging from the sleeve of a black jacket, police said.

The teen reportedly told county deputies that she believed the man attached to the hand was trying to break into her home.
