Tornado Warning Expires, but Storm in Will County Still 'Dangerous'
National Weather Service warning has expired.
A tornado warning expired at 7:45 pm for Joliet, Bolingbrook, Romeoville and western Will County, but the National Weather Service says the storm remains “dangerous.”
“This storm continues to exhibit rotation, and is still potentially a very dangerous storm,” the NWS posted on its Facebook page. We’re seeing heavy winds, lightning, showers and hail.
At 7:35, the NWS noted: “The main circulation which prompted the tornado warning for Will County did pass over the NWS Chicago office (in Romeoville). We are OK though, however, everyone please continue to pay attention to all updates this evening as strong to severe storms continue across northern Illinois and northwest Indiana.”
